I predict a riot!

I haven't put anything up here in a while so i'm probably due an update...

I'm in my 4th week at AMP and it's going well, it has been mentioned that they might extend my contract which would be handy as i've been applying for lots of other jobs and not heard anything back...plus I think getting anything over Christmas would be unlikely. It's fairly boring and I have to talk to some immensely stupid people but then that’s not a far cry from most other jobs i’ve had.

Had some good nights out in Sydney, getting to know the place more so working out where's good and where to avoid.

My friend Jon from Swindon is going to be moving in with me in 2 weeks for a month or so, will be good to have some male company and to see someone I know well. 5 years ago we worked in Virgin together - how things change!

An English couple I know are going back to the UK for a month from 10th Dec and have asked me to housesit for them...they're even giving me use of their car - result! They have a BBQ, loads of films and Sky TV - tis going to be a great Crimbo/ New Year period!

A guy I know from America is visiting this weekend and we are hitting the clubs...

Not sure what else to put...oh I snogged a girl called Ivan, she's German and I thought her name was Yvonne - doh!

Oh yeah and i'm going to see The Kasier Chiefs tonight...hence the title of this post.

Blog update

I'm so unfeasibly bored at work that i've been tinkering with the blog format, it should be easier to read and navigate now and you can also post comments!

Working fool

First day at work was pretty poor, i'm a phone monkey for a bank. Resetting password and giving people the correct numbers for things, at least its money I guess.
I work 2 minutes walk from The Opera House and can see it and Sydney Harbour Bridge from my office window so things aren't all that bad.
End communication.

Job

Not had major luck on the job front yet. Must have applied for about 80+ positions so far and had very few callbacks. Not sure if this is due to my lack of qualifications or that the final date for applications hasn't yet been reached.
While typing this update i've just had a phonecall from an agency offering me a 1st line support role on $21/hour. It's a bit naff but in the absence of anything else i'm going to take it. I've seen about 10 jobs advertised that i'd be really good at so hopefully one of them will call me and I can jack this job in. I start on Monday and it's quite central so should only take about half an hour maximum to get to work. Seems odd that I haven't seen or spoken to anyone from the company involved but hey ho.
Aside from the job search i've been lying about watching Scrubs and shopping. Settled in well to the house, I really like it here. Just need to get out and meet people!
